Soy wax candles have a much lower melting point than a paraffin wax candle does so for them to be shaped into soy pillar candles and other types of candles that are not in containers, chemicals have to be added, which defeats the purpose of having an all natural alternative.  Candles are not regulated so often times dripless taper candles that are made from soy wax will be sold as an all natural soy wax candle when in reality it is not.
